Conception Seminary College in Conception, Missouri will hold auditions Monday, September 9th for their upcoming production of "Greater Tuna." Director of Drama, Brother Cyprian  says the play turns small-town values on their head.

"It's kind of a loony, hilarious comedy.  It's kind of send-up if you will of smalltown of morals and morays.  The entire play takes place over a single day in the life of a fictional town in Texas called Tuna, Texas - the third smallest town in Texas as the script says.  And the glue that holds the town together is the local radio station where all the news regardless of its significance is broadcast."

Brother Cyprian adds that the production is especially in need of female actors.

"Of course we're the seminary out here and that means we have plenty of men, but not that many women.  The auditions are open to anyone, but certainly I would encourage any women who might be interested in auditioning to come out to the auditions."

Auditions will be held in the Drama Room in the basement of St. Michael Hall on campus at 37174 State Highway VV. Auditions will begin at 7:30 p.m. Performances will be held November 8, 9, and 10th. For more information, email cyprian@conception.edu or call 660-944-2837.
